Floors all dry and SILENCE IS GOLDEN!

I've gained a new appreciation for quiet- I don't think I could take one more day/night of the T.V. volume up to 60 just to hear it over these babies!

I was released today from my Young Women calling.

It was a hard one for me. I don't know if it was just because it was unexpected or just the timing. Chad and I found out last Sunday when we were asked to meet with the Bishop so I've known all week that I was going to be released. I have always loved serving in Y.W.~ Chad was called to be the new Scout Master which means I had to go! Chad will love being with the deacons and being with Garrett. I will miss the Y.W. so much but change is always good, right? My new callings, Ward Missionary and R.S. Meeting Coordinator

(a.k.a. the old title Enrichment Leader).

Actually this week, i have more than a sad...

it's been a rocky week for me emotionally.

a major personal change in my life that is weighing so heavy on me this week, next the flooded kitchen floor, and now...THIS!

I looked down at my ring this morning (my wedding ring)

and the diamond is GONE! UGh! That'll pull on the ole' heartstrings...

I took a closer look and the prongs are all bent and literally sideways.

I don't really remember doing anything that would have caused it but

nevertheless the diamond is a gonner!

Oh dear, will this week ever end?

Tent City

Don't know what happened but Sunday morning I came down to find the kitchen hardwood floors coming up. They looked warped and I could smell wet wood! Not a good sign.

Later that night Chad took to the boys bedroom downstairs which had water dripping out of it. YIKES! And discovered water in the sub-floor. Oh boy! Never a dull moment around this joint. This has been a week of challenge that is for sure.

So, now we are sporting our own little tent city. Only this tent city is very loud and sort of puts us a little inconveinenced for the next 5-7 days. Yup...will take about 5 days minimum to dry out that floor. The fridge and oven were moved over in front of the dining area. We are not to step foot into the tented area! Notice in photo one, the microwave, sink and pantry are on the other side of tent city. Hmmm....i'm a stay at home mom that loves to cook! No cooking for 5-7 days, whatever will I do?

Trials...we're havin' a few these days :)

Love Hair-do!

Happy Valentines Day!!!

Ellie was asking me all week to get online and find a Valentines Hair-do! I was happy to do so. It's so fun to have my one and only girly-girl! She was excited when I showed her the picture of this "heart-do" It was easy-peasy and turned out soooo cute! I'm so happy that she loves to be festive and still wants me to do her hair...love you Elle-Belle!

Bath Salt Sundaes!

These turned out so cute I wanted to blog them for nothing other than to remember! We decided to make these for the Y.W. b-days this year. It was so fun putting them together and I just love how they turned out. The poem attached reads like this:

This very special sundae

will leave you feeling great.

It's chock full of good things

even though it can't be ate.

Take it in the bath with you

of course don't take a sip

Although it looks delicious,

it's made to take a dip.

Directions: Pour 1/2 cup of bath salts into warm water and enjoy!
