Draper Fire!

Ahhh...I looked out my window and what did I see?
Our beautiful Corner Canyon Mountain was on fire!
So sad...it's pretty close to the new Draper Temple but not
so close that it would catch it on fire!
It's been going now for about 8 hours and still uncontained.

Birthday Photos

We started the day with Breakfast in Bed...A Morris Tradition :)
Nothing beats waffles topped with strawberries and whipped cream!
An Eagle Scout Scrapbook from G & G Morris
Kaden should be getting his Eagle 1 year from now!
A football rib pad and an xbox 360 controller!
A couple of the YW in my ward surprised Kaden and
came to decorate his room!
How fun is that!!!

Football Widow
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A football widow is a term for those who have a relationship with a
sports fan (often a follower of football, be it American football, soccer, rugby, Australian rules football, or other) who pays more attention to the game than to their partner during the sport's season of play. Football widows are usually, but not always, women. Usually the "widow" has little interest in the sport themselves.
Although it is widely tolerated and not considered a serious disruption by many, dedication to following the sport (such as being a Little League Head Coach for 4 years) can disrupt home life and the relationship between the couple in question.

Tee Hee Hee.....

This is my life as I know it. :) Every year come August I pronounce myself a
FOOTBALL WIDOW!!!
Chad and the boys are gone 5 days a week for about 3 hours a night all the month of August. Once games start in September, they cut practice down to 3 nights a week!

I differ some from the above definition in that I actually have interest in the sport and love to sneek in some Monday Night Football while Chad and the boys are at their own practice. Then I have all sorts of good reports like
"You totally missed a great play tonight between so and so"

The best part is seeing their jaws drop when I actually know what I'm talking about :)

I came to realize years ago with this sport
"IF YOU CAN'T BEAT EM' JOIN EM' "

We'll be sure to keep the boys season posted on the side bar just like last year!

Camp Highlights

I decided I wanted to write down a few of my favorite camp highlights so I don't forget them.
Most of these will have no meaning to the average reader but to some of us they'll provoke belly aching laughter, shedding of tears and great big smiles :)

1. Memorizing and reciting the Living Christ
2. "A BADGER!!! It's a badger!
3. 11 heads of french braids
4. Putting up a shade structure from out of the Scout trailer with no instructions! It was like
an erector set!
5. A hot shower after the hike :)
6. Paddle boating on Legacy Lake after an hour hike to get there.
7. Our skit! It was a huge hit especially when Katie knocked over the baby catus.
8. Playing games, eating enough candy to cause 12 cavities
9. The devotional given by some of the y.w.! AWESOME!!!
10. Testimony meeting on Thursday night! It was incredible!!

These are just a few. I absolutely loved the time with the girls and our fearless leaders!
It was a week in heaven~

Girls Camp Was AMAZING!!!!

I wish I could scream this outloud on my blog but since I can't, all caps will have to do!
GIRLS CAMP WAS AMAZING!!!!

Not only were the accomodations spectacular...Heber Valley is unbelievably beautiful and has such a spirit about it. The camp hosts (who are actually couple missionaries) told us that it was considered "the temple in the mountains" and I have to agree, the spirit was incredibly strong there and overwhelming! Then you add 14 of the most AWESOME young women and it becomes out of this world! In a nutshell, camp was so great! We had so many wonderful experiences with our girls and we bonded so much with them. I know it's such a sacrifice for many of us to go to camp but I wouldn't miss it for the world! Here are a few photos of our fun!

Thank you to my "girls" for letting me be a part of your life! You've been such a blessing in my life and I consider myself so fortunate to have spent a whole week with each of you!

Love You All So Much!!!
