Par for the course!

So in our 16 years of marriage anytime Chad has had to travel or go away for work there is always things that go skeewampis! Like the time he traveled to Bahrain for 3 weeks (Kaden and Garrett were just little) and the day after he left, Garrett broke out with chickenpox.

I 've decided this time around maybe I should blog about what has become COMICAL to me (it wasn't always this funny but these days I just expect the unexpected)

Wednesday of this week or say...

Day 1- Take Garrett in for a Dr. appointment...discover he has a inguinal hernia that will need to be operated on NEXT WEEK~

Day 2- Power goes out and ALL the fire alarms in the house are BLARRING for nearly 30 min. No, the house was not on fire but I couldn't get them to turn off. Finally the power came back on and the alarms went silent :)

I'm sure we'll have mostly normal days but when fun stuff comes up you had better believe that I'm posting it on the blog! We gotta save memories somewhere right?~

Chadwick left!

Chadly left today and YES...I cried like a baby!

I know 6 weeks isn't very long but

I WUV MY HUBBY and will MISS him terribly :'(

Trip to Dallas

Chad and I went to Dallas house hunting...look at this cute rental house we found :)
It's perfect! We truly felt led right to it!

House is listed...sign is up...it's becoming a reality!

It's Official!

Guess what Ya'll- Chad just accepted a new job offer in Dallas, Texas! We are excited, nervous, sad, happy, overwhelmed, grateful BUT MOSTLY feeling truly blessed! It's another adventure in the lives of the Morris family. Never a dull moment around this place :) If any of you blog readers know anything about Dallas, I'm all ears.

He Lives!

I absolutely loved Conference Weekend. I couldn't be more grateful for the many messages that seemed to touch my heart in a variety of ways. I have truly been blessed!

I am so thankful for a Father in Heaven who hears and answers prayers. I know that he is ever mindful over me and my family. I know that his love is limitless. He sent his only begotten Son, even our Savior Jesus Christ to die for us. This Easter Sunday has been so uplifting and so powerful. It has strengthened my testimony of the reality of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the ultimate gift of the atonement. I am thankful for the Savior and his atoning sacrifice in my behalf. I wonder how many drops of blood were spilt for me? I know He lives. I am in awe of the many tender mercies he sends my way. How grateful I am. I'm feeling so blessed...so thankful!

Conference- Saturday A.M. Session

Lucky...

we were blessed and privileged to have tickets for the Saturday morning session of conference.

It was so fun to take 3 of our 4 kids. It was wonderful to be there. It's always a treat to be in the conference center. Here is a list of my words or phrases that I loved today from conference. I might have to do a Conference Phrase Cloud instead of a word cloud.

Conference Word Cloud

Only 2 more days until General Conference! I'm giddy! I did a massive house cleaning today so that I will be ALL READY to sit and watch and ponder and pray and meditate and cry and think and feel and LOVE!

It's going to be so special to actually have it on Easter Sunday! I can only anticipate the wonderful messages that will be given of Christ and His great gift of the Atonement. Did I already mention that I can hardly wait...When it's all over I'm going to make a Conference Word Cloud like this one above to hang somewhere in my home until October. Don't you think a daily visual reminder like this will bless our lives. I do!

I can hardly wait for Saturday to be here. I'm counting down the hours...

Temporary Home

Well, I had to do it again!
Post about Carrie Underwoods song, Temporary Home.
It's my most favorite song right now and I just can't seem to hear it enough.

It reminds me of where I'm really going and why I'm here. The only problem is most days I just want to go back home...I'm sort of tired of the temporary home. To say I'm homesick would be an understatement! Somedays I just really, really miss my heavenly home and can't wait to be there again someday! But for now, keeping this PERSPECTIVE makes this temporary home so much more enjoyable!
