Funny... Porter just non-chalantly came over to talk to me in the kitchen and when I turned around to look at him, this is what I saw! I laughed outloud and told him I needed to take a picture.

I love this!!!!
I do love to create so when President Uchtdorf gave this talk at Women's Conference, I was so pleased and just kept rehearsing the last line in my mind...

Temple Celebration
I have been wanting to post about this for a long time now but find I'm just getting around to it. We are doing a huge Temple Celebration for the opening of the new Draper Temple. President Monson invited the youth of our temple district to perform a celebration. It's been the most incredible undertaking! The youth are slowly getting more and more excited about it. We've had Wednesday night rehearsals for 6 weeks now. The big event is scheduled for May 29th when we will perform for the Prophet in the Conference Center. The program itself is all centered around Draper history. Our stake was given the time period of the early settlers of Draper or the "Dugout Pioneers". I have been a "Captain of 10" for the YW in our ward who are participating in the production number. It's a "stomp" type dance. Kaden and Garrett are in it as well. It's really coming along well. I can hardly wait for the final result!
It's going to be such a wonderful, once in a lifetime experience for the youth!
Conference Helps!
Conference was a huge hit this time! With some extra preparations from mom, the kids were well behaved and for the most part right into it! I tried a new idea taken from another friends blog (thanks Amy!) and did the Apostle candy bars. Mini candy bars with the 15 Apostles pictures as the labels. It sure kept the kids interested in who would be speaking next. I had to laugh though when Porter quickly caught on and then started asking "Mom, can we eat this guy now?".

That's right! A 1000 piece puzzle. He worked on it throughout the entire weekend! It was perfect for him. I kept myself alert and attentive by taking notes. It's been so fun to read back through them this week as I prepared for a talk. Again, so blessed to have taken the opportunity to soak it all up! I love Conference Weekend!!!
Surprisingly this next item was the HUGE hit....
Yes, that's homemade play-dough! It was the perfect fit for all four of my kids. Even the big boys created the entire Saturday afternoon session.
And let's not forget Chad's new help (so as not to dose off)...

Ahh...it was WONDERFUL!!!

I'm nearly speechless over the wonderful experience
we had over the weekend.
2 FULL DAYS of General Conference!
My prayers were answered when we awoke Saturday morning
to freshly fallen snow which in turn meant all soccer games
were cancelled! This day I'm praising Mother Nature! I'm so glad
she didn't pull another stunt like she did on April 1st!
I was so grateful to be able to watch all sessions of conference this time.
Truly a much needed reprieve and boost for me personally!
More to come!!!

How dare you!
Let the record stand...We are officially tired of the snow this year!!!
Sincerely-
