It's Always Fun....

When Gramma and Grandpa come!

Tomorrow my in-laws are coming from Arizona. Along with Gramma and Grandpa, Chad's youngest sister Lisa and her new baby boy Kaiser are coming too! We're excited to have them here for a visit but watch out....THE FORECAST CALLS FOR SNOW! yup, you heard me right, SNOW on Saturday! Their full intent to come was so they could watch the kids play soccer and football! YIKES! Hope they packed their parkas! tee hee hee

Ewwww...The FLU!

Ugh! Is the best expression I have for the 3 horrible days I spent in fetal position wishing I was dead! ha ha ha It was actually only the flu! I guess pain and suffering is all relative right?
So much to do to catch up from 3 days of sickness!

Women's Conference

Was that meeting AWESOME or what? I was so grateful I went. I absolutely loved President Uchtdorf's talk! It was just what I needed to hear. It seems just when I'm ready to "throw in the towel" an Apostle of the Lord reminds me of why I'm really here! Encourages me to pick myself back up and get in there and just keep doing what I'm doing! I absolutely loved that he encouraged us to "create"...that is something I do everyday. I love to create--in so many aspects. I consider it my niche, my hobby, my passion! So to hear him tell me to continue to do it and to enjoy it every step of the way was the best! I also loved that he encouraged us to be more compassionate. I love to serve others and find so much joy in it. I was grateful for the reminder that when my burdens and trials seem overwhelming that all I need to do is get out and serve! Everytime I do that it never fails, my grey sky turns to blue!

I'm looking so forward to General Conference this weekend!

Piano Recital

Ellerie had her first piano recital last Saturday, September 20th. She did really great and played all her songs perfect! Ms. Win, the teacher is so great with my kids. She also really knows how to make a mothers day! She continually tells me how great they all are and what talent they have with music! That itself is MUSIC TO MY EARS!!! It's going to be so great when all 3 of them can sit down and play any piece of music they want! It will be my dream come true!!!

Great job kiddos! Kaden and Garrett also played. They are getting really good and have surpassed all my expectations! The best part about it is that I don't have to fight them to practice and they all enjoy it!
What more could a mother want!!!

2 Wheeler!

Porter took intrest in riding his bike a few weeks ago.

Now he's very proficient and thinks he's plenty big enough to ride to the Dollar Store on his own! (yeah, right!) This video is from a few weeks ago! He thinks it's so cool that he was only 4 when he learned to ride a 2-wheeler!

(only by a few days)

**Thanks Camera Man Garrett!***

Wheeew! We're back up and running! Thanks to Chadly for fixin' up the computer and saving all that he couold! What a nightmere! I'm so thankful for Chad and all his handy man work this week. Here's a little tidbit of
"WHEN THINGS GO WRONG"

Saturday- Van won't start- had to be given a jump at every stop I made..soccer, football, football!
Saturday Night- big boys playing ball in the front yard and knock over the lamp post-ugh!
Sunday- Computer crashes
Tuesday- Dishwasher floods kitchen..ugh!

Meanwhile I'm stressing out and Chad is just laughing! He replaces the van battery~voila! van works, he orders external hard drive~voila! computer up and running, he cuts down metal post of lamp re-bolts it into the ground~voila! Lamp back in place. He runs to appliance parts shop during lunch hour- purchases new "seal", comes home, works on dishwasher~voila! dishwasher stops leaking!

Was this a week for me to learn to appreciate Chad more or what? I guess I was being taught more patience and appreciation for the little things!
