Garrett Takes 5th in State!

Kaden and Garrett decided to go ahead and try the State Tournament. Kaden did great but lost his 2 matches on Friday night and so he was eliminated. Garrett only lost one match Friday night so he continued on Saturday. He ended up taking 5th Place @ State! That is incredible seeing how he has been wrestling for 3 months total! WOW~ Way to go G-Force! We're proud of all 3 boys for taking up wrestling! It's a tough-guy sport that's for sure!

Porter is Special

Porter had is "Beary Special Me" this week. He was so excited about his poster and all his baby pictures. He couldn't believe it was him. It was fun pulling out old photos of him and remembering how "tiny" he was! I made this special smilebox slideshow and took it in on Friday for his class to watch. It was very fun to hear all the special things his classmates like about him.

We love you Port-Man!

HOPE

Another great reminder today as I attended the funeral for a dear family friend

Dustin Hunter Murdock
Such a young accomplished man (age 35)
It was amazing to hear about all he has done in his few short mortal years.
Incredible was his faith, diligence, endurance and more.
Another life lesson reinforced that HOPE in the eternal plan
brings peace to my soul.

Happy New Year!

This is my motivation to start running again in 2010!
Although this looks more like Ellerie and Porter.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Sledding Day

We arranged a fun neighborhood sledding day.
It was really fun and dangerous! ha ha
We found a really big hill.
The kids had a blast. I enjoyed my 3 trips down...
although I hearda little "pop" in my neck and have had
a headache since! yikes-I'm getting old!

We are sure enjoying our down time this holiday season!

Family Ski Trip

One of our gifts this year to the kids was a day of skiing.
I grew up skiing and just loved it--I haven't skied in over
16 years (different priorities) ha ha
So we thought it would be so fun to go as a family.
Here are some photos of our very fun day at Brighton!

Just before starting

On the chair lift--look at those smiles :)
